Naturally Gluten Free Snacks

Gluten-Free-Scallywag_GF-Snacks

I'm a muncher. Big time. Always wanting more. Or easily seduced into buying up half the grocery store when I'm hungry. Or thinking about what I'll cook for dinner, when I haven't even finished my breakfast.

It's a curse. I blame it on my Mum. She agrees with me - all her fault. Well, actually she's not AS bad, she doesn't think about what she'll cook for dinner before she's eaten breakfast. However, she will be tempted to buy or eat whatever is in front of her if she's hungry.

Genes - you gotta love em. But hey, no problem there's a world of gluten free food out there to munch on and the best part is that most of it is stocked at your local grocery store.

Fresh Fruit - it's all gluten free baby! Eat it plain or cut it up and drizzle with some gluten free greek yoghurt.

If you can tolerate them, nuts, unsalted preferably - grab a handfull and get some of those good fats into your body!

I was never a big fan of nuts, in fact I only recently decided that I like pistachios but only when they're salted (my bad!) so personally I prefer mine with some raisins or dried cranberries scattered through.

Dried apricots are one of my favourites along with dried apples. Something about the textures and tartness is so more-ish - and the chewier (is that a word?) the better!

Stay tuned for more gluten free snack ideas!
